I loved the Joan/Sherlock elements of this episode, I loved Sherlock being ready to torture a man to death, but I am so, so sad that all signs point to Irene Adler having been shoved in a refrigerator. I have a vain hope that she helped Moriarty fake her death, but the outlook is grim on that front.

I'm clinging to the fact that she faked her own death in the Actual Canon, but yeah...I am not optimistic.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but Moran's particular method of killing does make it easy for someone to fake their death, doesn't it?

You could collect blood samples over an extended period of time, freeze them, and use them later. Also, no body might be found...

MAYBE IRENE IS MORIAAAAAAARTY. I'll be really, really bummed if she's For Real dead. This just seems to perfectly set up to have her be Fake Dead, only to come back and cause Sherlock maximum emotional turmoil.

MAYBE IRENE IS MORIAAAAAAARTY.

SO WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN!

Have faith. I am totally on board the Irene is Moriarty train because this show, if any show, could do that.

This is true.
