Dear Shisedio,

Please stop making absolutely fabulous makeup. Seriously. I'm addicted to your balancing softener and moisturizer, your lipsticks are the best I've ever found (making my lips look AND feel pretty, while tasting like lipstick, but in a good way) and now this. Creme eyeliner that is bold but not trollop-y, and is fairly easy to put on (first eye looks kinda bad, second looks quite nice).

Luckily, I can make that small sample last quite a while, but seriously! Stop it!

Too Much Love,

p.s. Psst, [personal profile] smillaraaq - I've found the eyeliner I'm going to use for Suki. That was actually my first thought: "wow, this will look great and show up excellently on top of white powder and foundation." And then I thought of you.

So I think I might do Fire Nation Katara for a cosplay at Sak, thus bringing my list to Lirin, Fire Nation Katara, and Riza (Maybe. If I still look good in the skirt.)

Nice! Fire Nation Katara has a freakin' hot outfit. And I'm always so impressed with people who do multiple cosplays. I'm hopefully going to get there early enough that it's feasible to put on the make-up, and do Suki for two day, and then a nice low-key, Heterdyne heir for Sunday (when my face has broken out from the foundation.)

And do you already have a Riza outfit? Cool. She's one of my favorite characters from FMA.

I do. :) If one of the others fall through though, I'll end up pulling old Rogue out of the closet and doing that one again.

That's actually the cosplay I met [livejournal.com profile] pzb in. How nostalgic!

I'd probably only do FN Katara as the Masquerade cosplay, if they do the masque. I'd have to get a mask then as well, but that'd be easy to do for that outfit. a whole lot of reds and golds.

For the masquerade, I will probably still be Suki, or drag out my super fancy vintage dress and be... I have no idea. Or I could drag out my classic school girl outfit. *ponders*

I wonder how strict they are about the masks.....

Hee, yes, and really a dramatic eye with red lips against a pale foundation is *such* a classic Serge Lutens Shiseido look (http://www.lumiere.com/beauty/96/08/serge-lutens/). I think imprinting on his 80s image photography for Shiseido was one of the first things that got me seriously obsessed with makeup-as-art-form.

Hmmm ... I should probably replace the 15-yr-old Shiseido eyeshadow that I dug out for New Year's ... it's breaking up into little chunks.

(Which lets you know how often I wear my makeup ... although Shiseido has always been a line I've favored when I bother to buy such.)

I don't think of myself as one of those makeup girls, and then I realize I wear makeup every day, and even when I'm camping or sick I usually put on at least moisturizer.

And yes, i would toss that eyeshadow. And I can't image paying shesido prices if I didn't wear it a lot. One of my justifications is, 'well, it's 25 bucks now.... but I know that I'll be using if for the next year and a half.
