I haven't read Journey Into Mystery yet but can I take a moment to talk about this fucking amazing cover?
Can we talk about how this references old-school Sword and Sorcery novel covers while positioning Sif as the conquering hero? HOW HER BOOBS ARE PROPORTIONATE AND COMPLETELY COVERED? How the big bad monster is basically hiding behind the fierce warrior lady? How Sif looks calm and competent and in control? The only way this cover could be more subversive and feminist would be if the monster was hot, bare-chested, and cowering at her feet, instead of her back.
