So, I read Birds of Prey: The Death of Oracle, which was FABULOUS. I didn't want to put in down.

Some thoughts:

• I WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH SUPERHEROINES GETTING DRUNK AND OGLING MEN AT STRIP CLUBS. GIVE ME THAT FOREVER.


• I love how physical Babs was. She was beating up druggie thugs, she was working out, she was just this really awesome physical and narrative force in this book, AND she's in a wheelchair. It's just awesome.


• I am not automatically in 'girl who is the embodiment of sweetness and light + growly scowly dude' but that scene where Hawk can't/won't give Dove a birthday gift because ~feelings~? Bulletproof kink.


• AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN, with Huntress and (lol) Catlad. The part where Catlad orchestrated a robbery and kidnapping to drive Huntress away - that's romantic to people beside me, right?
