I absolutely adore the section of King of Scars when Nikolai is getting chained up every night by Zoya and everyone thinks that she's his mistress.

I would love anything set during that time (an AU where that's when they get together), Zoya deciding to lean into the mistress rumors and just start sleeping in Nikolai's bedroom, etc. Maybe they end up having sex while Nikolai is chained down...

Also, one of the elements of the show I loved was how annoyed Escalus was when it was clear that Rosaline no longer trusted him. I think he expected her to marry Benvolio and then be his mistress and it became clear that wasn't going to happen.

I found their relationship a lot of fun. I liked that Nyneave is clearly very smart and has a lot of experience... except with feelings (especially her own). 

Also it was not lost on me that if Lan was ever restored... and married Nynaeve.... she would be a princess. Which I think Nynaeve would scoff at and then be really good at.

I really love Sabina/Jane. Them getting together, them as an established couple going on missions, a lazy day off – whatever you like.

That said? Sabina smacking her own ass with that crop? Made me REALLY want a Jane/Sabina fic where Jane spanks/uses a crop on Sabina.

(I know that the writers/creators gave Tony Stark a pass because they wanted Robert Downey Jr. to be a star as long as possible, but it's a little unbelievable that Wanda would be willing to chill at the Avengers compond with Tony Stark considering his bombs killed her family and then his stupid rogue AI killed her brother. [but he did create what became her new boyfriend? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯])

I don't have anything new to say about current events - I think it's pretty clear where I stand. I went to a BLM march yesterday and I've been giving what I can to various places.

Fandom continues to be pretty quiet, in my neck of the woods. I'm waiting for the next fannish place to hang out, since tumblr is an echo chamber a lot of people left, and DW is pretty low-key. I'm trying to respond to AO3 comments and remind myself that I do HAVE a DW. 

So I really enjoyed the latest adaptation of Emma, even though I felt like it lagged in the middle - I was very impatient to get to the Emma/Knightly bits.

I really liked the changes they made/added to this version and showing that Knightley was really into Emma (before she realized she felt the same) and had some doubt of her returning his feelings was good (loved the dancing/running/etc) scenes.

Also while I was VERY dubious of the casting for Knightly, I liked how Emma and Knightley seemed much closer to the same age and more like peers, which honestly makes the romance play better imho.

But I really need a primer on the context of Frank Churchill. It seems really weird that he was adopted by his aunt while his father still lived? Did this go down because his aunt had substantially more money than his father? And then he clearly doesn't care about his father, which is why Knightley dislikes him?

I took a bath at noon and now I'm doing my taxes 

Luckily, last week I got a very nice work-from-home set up.

The stay-at-home order is for two weeks but I think we all know that this will likely continue for longer.... which is good for flattening the curve but I am also not looking forward to potentially months of this.
