One of the things that I love about looking over people’s prompts (besides getting a head-start so I’ll actually be able to post something during PB) is seeing what people tend to ship as a whole. It’s interesting when you’ll get comments were you’re like, ‘HELL NO to all twenty of those pairings you just prompted’ or the times when you have your FAVORITE pairing in the same prompt comment as a pairing you really dislike. I am not ready to commit to a holiday meme, but there were some great tropes here that I wanted to keep on my LJ, in case I have more time suddenly/no one prompts things I want to write at the currently running or upcoming fanfic comment memes.
Okay! I am really in the mood for writing (and hopefully reading!) some holiday-themed ficlets. Pick a trope from this list and provide a fandom/pairing and I’ll write you a snippet from the story I would write or give you a summary of it or SOME COMBINATION THEREOF.
- Getting snowed in (possibly with no power!) and CUDDLING FOR WARMTH
- Accidental mistletoe feelings!
- Sappy late night Christmas tree light watching cuddling and make-outs and also boning
- Drunk work Christmas parties
- Sharing weird or new family traditions with each other!
- Christmas sweaters/blankets/getting bundled up to go out into the snow
- Decorating together!
- Cooking/baking together!
- Realizing feelings when watching someone interact with family/children!
- Lonely at the holidays and thinking you’re alone but then you’re not (found family)
- Separated at each other’s family and then one person makes the drive/flight and surprises them
- Fake!dating or bringing someone home for the holidays!

stainofmylove is planning on hosting a fridged women ficathon starting on December 27th, which I’m sure is relevant to a lot of people’s interests. (As I understand, we’ll also be dealing with metaphoric fridgings as well as literal.)Mark your calendars.
I’m currently brainstorming women to request/write. I realize that this is a fucking bleak question, but suggestions for characters who qualify and that I know would be welcome. Here is who I’m thinking about at the moment:
