Okay, so this post is going around my dashboard:

Jane Foster  ♥ SCIENCE: comes with space boyfriend

Pepper Potts 1: professionally better than you

Pepper Potts 2: still professionally better than you

Pepper Potts 3: the rise of Rescue

Agent Peggy Carter & The Howling Commandos

Yep. Standard for the movies -- male character does hero stuff, female character(s) handle everything else so they can do hero stuff. 'Cause Thor probably would've been screwed if he hadn't found someone willing to explain Midgard to him and Tony wouldn't have a company to provide him with the funds to build his suits if it weren't for Pepper.

How much of Thor's movie is all about Jane and her love affair of with science is always underplayed.

The Avengers in particular pisses me off, where Natasha is the heart and the through-line of the ENTIRE MOVIE and people think she was just there because boobs.

In two of the three Iron Man movies, Pepper is the one to take out the big villain. And, actually, with the direction the series was taking, I wouldn't be surprised if a fourth movie had Tony be more of a Q to her James Bond.

Natasha (and Clint, to be fair) need more credit for being productive members of the team when the rest of the team consists of guys who could lift a truck with one hand. This means they've got powers that extend beyond being good at hitting stuff.
