Sewing machine has a belt broken.

This is after I lit part of the pattern on fire accidentally.

2.5 days left.

Tick tock.

Hey,

Just letting you know I found you on the Suki and Sokka community and you seemed pretty cool, so I friended you! Good luck with the sewing machine.

Awww, rough times! Replacing a belt can be fairly simple. Is there a sewing machine repair place around? Failing that, look up vacuum cleaner repair - places that do one often do the other (similar motors etc.).

It was simple, just time consuming. I had to run out to a little town 20 minutes away to get the belt.

i'm almost afraid to ask how you set the pattern on fire

[identity profile] redbrunja.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I thought that there was a fourth piece I needed, I went over to show my mom, spreading the pattern out on the kitchen table, which had a lit candle on it.

that'll do it

Well, I'm bringing my sewig machine so if there's anything that just can't get finished in time, we'll take care of it there. :)

And don't fret...can't tell you how many times this crap happens to me...had to buy a new machine to finish Gojyo last year.

Trust me, I am so thrilled that you're bringing your sewing machine. I will need to borrow it to (at the very least) put bias tape on my bracers, and at (please god) most, finish up my overskirt.

Speaking of, I need some details about where we're staying... like, what is the name, and can I check in if you aren't there, and what time you and Danni will be arriving.

[identity profile] pzb.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 01:24 pm (UTC)(link)
lol, just little details. It's Sixth Avenue Inn (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=97516&PS=GWS_aa_Google_sixth_avenuea_inn_122505). Danni's flight should be coming in about 12:30; I'm shooting to be there between 1 and 1:30 (giving them enough time to get their baggage and grab a bite)

If that's all you need to do at most, no worries. We'll get it done. I have sooooo much to do still, it's not even funny. I think I'm still in denial that I leave in two days.

So at the hotel at around 2?

I will be also be bringing my hot glue gun. *sigh*

[identity profile] pzb.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry, hon. I didn't hear my phone last night (it was still in my coat pocket while we were working on costume stuffs.) I'll give you a call this afternoon.

Trust me, it hurts to think about the list of shit I still have to do. I won't be going to bowling tonight. Still have a few prints to run as well as finishing up a bunch of loose ends. I'll be bringing my sewing machine, crazy glue, plus a whole bunch of random crap that should help us get everything together.

We can't check into the hotel until 3 anyway, but we should be there before then. I'll call you when I pick up Danni and her dad and we can figure out where we're meeting from there (even if it is the hotel.)

GAH....still in disbelief that I'm leaving tomorrow....
