Hold The Line: seriously, only video game examples? What the hell? Wasn't there even sort-of one in LoTR?

Rule 34: I could go for some Anne of Green Gables porn. I mean, from the movies and my head, Gilbert was fine. And we all know redheads are hot like burning.

I'm so sad that it doesn't look like they're going to be a remix redux this year.

I actually had enough non-porn stories in appropriate fandoms and was so looking forward to seeing how someone would tweak on of my stories.

(Especially because typically, really good authors participate in that challenge.)

Okay, since I was talking about remix redux earlier, I thought I'd rec one of my favorite fanfics to come out of that challenge, which is also probably my favorite Hinata or Hinata/Neji fic ever: [livejournal.com profile] riko 's Prison Keys (And Of Course There Is No Key Remix). (She's remixing Prison Keys, by Elizabeth Culmer).

Read both of them, they're fabulous. (And perfectly shows what I mean about all the badass writers playing in remix.)

For the third year in a row, I'm trying to buy a swimsuit and having no luck. I would like a tankini that a.) doesn't make me look fat and b.) realizes that I have boobs and c.) is not in the most atrocious patterns that have ever been sold since the 1970s. I wish I was kidding.

I'm being much more disciplined about working on my original fiction and I'm realizing how little people can say to write effective description.

On that subject, does anyone know of a weekly prompt group? Because I'd like to start writing more shorts to send out and hopefully get published, and it would be sweet if I had some kind of prompts to help with that.

tl;dr

I absolutely hate that abbreviation. Here's why: you can't force me to read something. If I don't want to, I won't. If, however, you reply to a fic or a post of a comment with something that breaks lj's comment limits, chances are I WANT to read what you have to say. It just strikes me as unnecessarily self-deprecating, as well as assuming a level of control over me that you, tl;dr-er, don't have.
