"That was only a prelude, for where they burn books, they will, in the end, burn human beings too."

Quote by Heinrich Heine, a German Jew whose works were banned by the Nazis, and sums up my reaction to the proposed Qu'ran burnings much more gracefully than I could.

Day 01 - What is your current favourite ship
Day 02 - What was your very first ship?
Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?

Day 06 - The best kiss?
Day 07 - The most heartbreaking scene?

Day 08 - The pairing with the most baggage?

I puzzled over this question until the obvious, perfect, answer hit me like a ton of brinks:

Jack Bristow and Irina Derevko, aka spy!Daddy and spy!Mommy. Irina married Jack and had a child with him because he was her mission; somewhere along the way, she fell in love. He lost the wife he adored (and never truly had) and somewhere along the way began to love the devious woman she truly was. All their scenes together in season two are rich with what-might-have-been, history, and the potential for violent passion. And this? This is the short, much abridged version. The entirety of their baggage could fill the cargo hold of a Boeing 747. There was the illegitimate child she had with his best friend, the time he had sex with her sister, the time she shot their daughter, the time he shot a clone of Irina thinking it was her after they danced together, etc, etc, etc.
