At the gym today, I had epiphany: I'm watching too much anime, and thus have an utterly fucked up idea about what a realistic shoulder/bust-waist-hip ration is.

Following a funny Gai icon to the ljer's other userpics, I found myself irrepairably scarred by the explicit Sasuke/Kakashi icons that accompanied the funny Gai icon.

I try to be okay with most pairings, and as a Sakura/Kakashi shipper I feel I should have more understanding but... I totally don't.

Aww, Red! I'm glad you realised that anime =/= real life people bodies. That could have been overwhelmingly depressing. Also, I think most of the anime women must have killer back pain. Tsunade self medicates with sake, man.

I mean, I knew that intellectually, of course, but it was just a shock to realize that I was subconsciously EXPECTING that to be the case. It's like, no, sweetie, real woman don't look like the women who outaku boys draw in their basement.

You're totally right about Tsunade, though, and now I want Jiriaya to give her a backrub.

Also, say what you will about Kishimoto (and I say a lot) both Tsunade and Sakura have fairly realistic bodies. Tsunade has the thicker waist those breasts would come with, and Sakura is slight all over, not just at her waistline.

I think I hate Sasuke/ANYONE else Team 7. (Even if Naruto is a ball of forgiveness.) I mean, anyone. (Okay, maybe warped Sai/Sasuke hatesex.) Kind of an extension of that, Sasuke/Almost Anyone From Konoha. HATE.

Because, seriously. I picture the pillowtalk thusly:

Kakashi: Remember that time where you betrayed everyone multiple times, nearly got several good ninja killed, almost killed your teammates and good friends, and ripped apart any trust we ever had in you by going out to destroy Konoha because of the words of yet another untrustworthy rogue ninja?

I really don't get this thing about making really straight men suddenly flamingly homosexual for each other. I suppose I could see Kakashi "experimenting" and never, ever mentioning it again, but Sasuke? I don't think so.

That's how I see it. As someone else phrased it, Kakashi has one unbreakable rule (protect your teammates) and Sasuke fucked that royally. Naruto is going to forgive Sasuke at the drop of a hat, Sakura will forgive him but never get rid of the nagging doubt that he's just going to betray them again, and Kakashi never going to trust that boy ever, every again.

We just did a show up here in which the main character is really straight (in a lot of relationships and in general loves women) who admits, at one point, to have had "a homosexual experience," so that might color my perception a bit.

I don't see being curious about the other side of the fence as negating a person's being straight or gay, but then again I don't choose to define my own sexuality so I'm probably not the best person to talk about that.

I do, too. It's something about him reading it in public, I think. Like you said, it's just kind of a vibe I get. I don't ship him yaoi, and I don't think he's at all gay, I just think it's something he might have done at some point in his life.
