I Am A Delicate Blossom, Unsuited For Public Transportation

Took the train back to college.

Everything was fine, and the train even got in early, but I have to admit, I am totally spoiled from having a car (because of mom's car breaking down, I don't have a car at the moment, although that might change tomorrow). See, I don't like, you know, waiting (especially when it's cold and I forgot my jacket) and I took my huge suitcase because, you know, I thought that I would be driving back, and I just get so impatient when I have to, like, wait while other people get off the bus and how the bus doesn't deposit me directly at my front door.

Also, did I completely miss something while not reading Bleach, but do Ishida and Orihime like each other? Interact at all? (Context is #119)

Tite Kubo is an evil tease who hints at anything he thinks the fans may like eith nointention (as far as we know) of ever following through on it, thus resulting in massive "THIS IS/WILL BE CANON!" factions.

Which is another way of saying "no, not really." They spent a lot of the Soul Society/Rescue Rukia arc together, and he was very protective of her during it, leading to a pretty decent following. But she...only has eyes for Ichigo, poor thing, and he has a White Knight complex.

Bleach fandom shipping alternately makes me want to laugh and tear my hair out. That secret actually had me ranting in IMs for a little while earlier. (I mean, if it was a case of his being in love with her and her not noticing/not reciprocating/taking advantage/whatever, I could at least vaguely understand[though not agree] where they were coming from, but there's not even any real evidence that he has that kind of interest in her. Just protective friendship.)

I miss my car, but I'm used to riding buses, so it's not so much a big deal for me. But I agree that having to deal with a bunch of luggage (or at least one huge bag) is extremely annoying when using public transportation.

As for that secret, I used to ship Ishida/Orihime before actually reading any of the manga (saw the first four or five episodes of the anime instead) simply because I hated Ichigo and thought Ishida was funny. Then I quit watching it, didn't pay attention to the series for two years, saw some cute fanart, decided to start reading it, skipped everything until after the Pendulum arc, and now ship Ulquiorra/Orihime. But yeah, neither of these pairings have much solid evidence behind them (UlquiHime more than IshiHime, though) so really, the secret maker has no reason to be bitching. :\

Also, secret #110 is awesome. XD Still love that game. <3

I've always liked Ishida/Orihime, but the idea of the ship mostly spawns, as I'm sure you've heard in the above comments, from his and her actions in the SS arc, which aren't actual direct UST. But whatev'.

I agree with the commenters above. Bleach is one of those series that works well for being just gen or having a ton of romantic potential. I mean, so many things can be read different ways. My problem is that I ship so many people with so many other people that I always feel a little guilty about pairings because then someone's sad because they don't get one (or both) of them. Threesomes fix some of that, but they can be difficult to write.

I don't remember the last time I had over 5 characters in a series where I shipped them with at least 3 different people. And Bleach is my first series where I have the same number of het to yuri to yaoi pairings. It makes reading fanfic a little easier.

But to get back to topic, I do love Ishida/Orihime. They are a cute pairing, but obviously not canon. Anyone who thinks that Orihime has eyes for anyone but Ichigo in canon isn't reading the same series I am. I ship Ichigo/Orihime too... but that's where my guilt comes in. Especially with Tatsuki, because Tatsuki/Orihime is probably one of my favorite yuri pairings.

But there is always fan fiction, which a lot of people in fandom don't get. I might get a little sad about my pairing not becoming canon, but I'm not going to make a big stink about it in communities and such. Of course, I like to think I have a bit of common sense.

To sumarize, the secret poster kinda misses the point.

Trains I don't mind, but I'm used to them from living in and/or commuting to New York.

Buses, however, I despise with every fiber of my being. I avoid them at all costs and beyond all reason. They are cramped and crowded and I guess subway cars can be like that, too, but I still hate buses.

I don't know anything about Bleach, but is it just me, or does that secret reek of sexism? Girl is only awesome depending on which boy she's with? Uh, right.
