I hate writing drabbles for that very reason, just because its so hard to get to the point, and still anchor it some idea that makes sense.
And about the time thing. I know a friend that can write 1,000 words in 20 minutes. Jealous y/y?

That depends on how satisfied/quality those 1,000 words are....
(But yes. I have a friend who consistently does Nano. Like, three times a year. I'm crazy jealous of that.)
