After yesterday's post of gloom, it's time to make my journal a happy journal again. Plus, no bad mood can stand up to the wonderful deluge of Hakkai x Yaone I've been gifted with recently. *tips beret to pzb*

So some super-special-awesome news: I made reservations for a hostel in Marseilles. *deep breath* I can't wait. I'm going to be going to and then a little town called Cassis that's utterly gorgeous.

Also, it's time for a squee meme.

Give me a subject, and for at least 50 words, I'll talk about how much I love it.

(Just please don't give me a subject you know I loath beyond all telling because I don't think I can kill the sarcasme voice for 50 whole words.)

Platypus.

First of all, platypusi are awesome because they come from Australia, and that country is just made of win.

Secondly, they're totally an animal that could only come for Australia, the country God made after he was tired of making everything the same.

Combined, you just have an awesome animal, with the little beaver tail and cute flippers....

Yes! Their awesomeness cannot even be expressed in words!

Have a hilarious tip: "Chouette" I'm pretty sure is slang for "cool." Don't use it just in case I'm horribly wrong, which is entirely possible. But "chou ette" means "little cabbage." You know how we call people "pumpkin"? Well, they say "little cabbage." Yay.

Firefly. X]

Thanks fo the tip.

Ah Firefly. Argueably the best television show ever, this show had fantastic, realistic characters, exciting action, and the perfect mix of drama and horror. Do you remember the torture scene? What other show could make you literally being laughing and wincing at the same time?

And let's talk about the characters. First, how thrilled am I to see a married couple who love each other and still have issues, yet work through them and still love each other?

Then you have theawesome tug of war with Inara and Mal, and it's totally believable that they would have such a difficult time getting together, and why god do none of the awesome ff ficcers I know like that pairing?

The adorable Kaylee, who's never overly sweet but just so adorable.

And I grew to have so much respect for Simon. He seems like such a classic geek, but then you'll see him doing things, and it's clear this boy has SO MUCH SPINE. "I know this because important people don't do field work."

Ah, firefly.

Yes, Chouette is cool. It's said like...Shweat...

Anyway.

I'm jealous beyond all reason, okay? I want to go to Marsielles....and Versaille....D:

Hakkai X Yaone.

You're chouette. ^_^

I wish you were hear to go to Versaille with me. (Because, if I had a friend, I'd totally wear my fanciest dress to go to the palace. And it would be really nice to see these places with people.)

Hakkai and Yaone... what's not to like about them? For Hakkai, you have a chance to further heal, and fall in love again, and for Yaone, the chance to be first in someone's affections, and together.... they're just the cutest couple ever! They're polite but with this edge of darkness that makes it so easy to add a bit of violence to balance out the sweetness.

Ooooohh you got a Hakkai x Yaone gift? Can I see? *clasps hands and makes big cute begging eyes*

Hmmm, a subject....how about a quote too?

(Subject: Courage)
"The mighty oak was once a little nut that stood its ground."

Check out my friends list - about four entries down.

Okay, what's great about that quote, besides the lovely imagery, is that it isn't just a bit of floppery about how small things can become huge - it emphasizes the role of will in that - that this small nut dug in it's heel and BECAME big - it didn't just happen.
