Here Comes The Smoulder
For the first time in months, I had a Saturday off.
A glorious, glorious evening to do nothing but relax and chat with my flist. Seriously, if you're in the mood to talk fandom, ask questions about shipping, share cute/sexy/funny/eye candy gifs, this is the post for you. (And I'm also going to be hanging close to the computer tomorrow as well, so if you're out having an amazingly fun Saturday night, come chat on Sunday. I'll still be in the mood to gab.)
Things that are going on in my life, to get the conversational ball rolling:
~I went and did this amazing self-defense seminar today. It was amazing and I am going to have some glorious bruises tomorrow. (Frankly, you can already see them.)
~I rewatched Tangled with my mom (she hadn't seen it yet). It was just as adorable as it was the first time and I think Flynn and Rapunzel make a fabulous couple.
~I may go get ice cream. In fact, I think I shall.
~I have been looking at upfront trailers for the upcoming fall season and frankly, I have only seen two that even look worth checking out:
This look funny but also distressingly close to what my life could be this fall.
No idea what this is about but I'm actually intrigued.
All the rest, frankly, look various flavors of boring.
~But that's okay, because in the next two months BURN NOTICE, HAVEN, AND TRUE BLOOD ARE RETURNING. Sing hallelujah.
~In fact, I'm so excited about the new season of TB, that I'm rereading Dead Until Dark. Which, frankly, I have a suspicion I can no longer recommend as a qualitatively good vampire story, even though I retain a lot of affection for it. Your thoughts, flist?

Oh, tangled. Thinking I'll have to buy that one, it was so charming.
Same here! I'd delightful and it holds up really well.
I admit, I'm not too bothered by the chance to catch up on old shows this fall, but it's still kind of disappointing that nothing good is coming out.

I'm just relieved none of my darlings were canceled. The Good Wife was the last one I was worried about, but it's been confirmed for a third season \o/ So instead of weeping and wailing over The Sarah Connor Chronicles/Better Off Ted/Legend of the Seeker, I now get to just sit back and relax, knowing all I need to do is have an excellent Holiday and then my shows will all be waiting for me on the other side. Bliss.
...And I still don't know when they'll be airing s2 of Luther *shrugs*

You use the bottom of your foot. You can either scrap your heel down their shins, which hurts, or you could (and this is a move I really like) kick the side of their kick with your foot, which can break it, thus preventing them from chasing after you.
Admittedly, I've never been attacked either, so a lot of what I know is from controlled situations, but that's my two cents.

That is nice.
