Someone online mentioned a Beauty & The Beast Castle that I need to go see while I'm in France. Is this ringing anyone's bells?

Also...

-What does Gojyo's shampoo smell like? I assume, with his hair, he probably using something fairly quality, but I can't think of what. I'm tempted to go with Tea Tree Oil Shampoo, which smells minty and green and tingles pleasantly, but since that's what I use, I'm not sure it's allowed.

-During the summer [profile] pzb, my mother, possibly [profile] renegadekitsuneand I had a conversation about the ikkou's musical taste, which is notable for the way every single person said immediately, 'Gojyo listens to rock.' Which is kind of a gimme, but still, aren't we sympathico? So my question is, what are the ikkou's musical guilty pleasures? What is the music that Gojyo plays that Hakkai actually likes? For Gojyo himself, I think he wouldn't admit to liking Ray Lamontagne, but would because that artist  has this wonderful sense of romance combined with the doubt that love even exists. (Go listen to "Jolene" - it's gorgeous and totally on my 'Forget Me Not' playlist, and only [personal profile] smillaraaqis going to know what that means.)

Also, I went to Giverny today, which is where Monet painted and it was utterly gorgeous and so, so peaceful, I just wanted to stay there listening to music and looking at the flowers, in this lovely, hazy misty morning, with a truly lovely dove-gray sky and the birds chirping.

What was less fun was that while I was walking to Monet's house I had my head turned and walked straight into the lamp post that was for some unfathomable reason in the middle of the sidewalk. Seriously, it was a total slap-stick moment; I expected to see Charlie Chaplan hanging around. Almost as painful as it was embarrassing.

I'm afraid to count my collection -- it's definitely in the hundreds, and that's just going by the jewelboxes without making any allowances for double/triple CD sets or the multi-disc boxed sets that are shelved with books instead of normal CDs. Add in stuff that I only have electronically, discs that I burned and left with the ex, etc., and it gets even crazier.

And eclecticism is a GOOD thing, she types while listening to sexy Turkish disco. ;)

*groans* I hear you completely on that! I was just counting what I've purchased, not any double discs or burned ones. Don't have anything on my computer though, since it's such a piece of crap, so you very well may have me beat out.

Hehehe, Turkish disco, eh? Very cool! *currently rocking out to Germanic Opera/metal*

Oh, and that icon? Sooo true!

Tarkan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lYc33_hRTE) -- ridiculously catchy stuff, and I've managed to drive soo many friends to distraction just by introducing them to his videos. Mmmmmm, green eyes, bellydancing abs, yum. ;)

And operatic metal, you say? Having recently fallen in love with Nightwish and Onmyou-za, I'm always eager to hear more recs in that vein!

Gaaaaawwwwd.... *drools* Tarkan is BEAUTIFUL! Wow, thanks for that. I had to take a lovely cold shower afterward. *fans self*

Yes, German opera set to heavy metal. Groups name is Der Aufen, and the lead singer has a beautiful soprano voice. You might need to do a special order on it since it's not very well known, but it's worth it. And Nightwish... loooove for that!

Speaking of interesting finds: I've developed a love for Vitas (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=vitas). That boy has the most amazing voice I've head since Freddie Mercury. Woo! Damn. I wish I had the time and energy to learn Russian.

Russian... I speak a little of that! Vitas, hmm? I'll have to look into that one, especially since you consider Freddy Mercury's voice lovely. I do, too.

A new band I just got into is called Muse. Their album Absolution is STUNNING. It's easily one of my most favorite purchases in a very long time. Seriously, you should check them out.

I've kinda been MIA from everywhere recently... so if you've updated CTS, I'm sorry I haven't read it. Have you updated it at all? I'm hoping *crosses fingers* To have time this weekend for fic reading. There are soooo many I've not kept up on!

Anyway, other than that, how are you doing, love?

Ummm...just to Act 52 which I don't think you've commented on yet. *thinks* CTS is going to be on hold for a while longer because I've been away from home and I just got a new job and stuff. I do have a new ficlet called "Fatherhood" and a mini comic at dA you can enjoy though. =-D

*puts Muse on look for music list*
