Tell Me More About The Lady!Parts

Only, because it's me, it's 'dick' SINGULAR. (I'm a firm believer in one penis or less per sex scene. And by firm believer, I mean that's just what I find sexiest.)

Also, this leads into two things I've been pondering.
  1. I've been reading a lot of fucking filthy (in the BEST way) fanfic smut, which has me going, 'you know, I really need to up my smutty game. Get more explicit. Don't shy away from the dirty talk. At the same time....
  2. I was working on a fanfic where the fic's climax (that's what she didn't say) doesn't get past first base (there are characterization reasons for this) and writing the kissing was so. hard. How do you say, 'so there was tongue but not too much tongue' in a hot way? Seriously, never have I more strongly wished I could pull a hot boy from out of my closet to make out with for research purposes. I mean, I often wish I could pull a hot boy out of my closet but that's usually more directly related to my libido and less related to trying to be accurate when describing how much tongue was used.

HAHAHA, that's an awesome quote. I feel I can relate to this whole post a lot because of the M-rated fic I've been writing all month for J/A. So far I've done blow job, boring sex, and hot sex, all in this one fic. I was once again forced to scour my memory and the thesaurus for synonyms to "vagina" and "thrust". You can imagine the former was a lot more difficult than the latter.

I need more words for lady-parts! I would totally get more specific if there were more vocabulary. Because "thatch" is so awful IDEK, "twat" is too derogatory, "cunt" is either really hot or really offensive, but either way has to be used very sparingly, "pussy" just makes me roll my eyes because even my porn is not that porny, and "vagina" just makes me think of my old job, which was the opposite of sexy. I like "quim", but it's British so I don't think it really fits with American character thought processes.

For the last chapter, I just listened to this on repeat. No kidding, I did. FOR HOURS. But now I'm on another chapter so that means I have to find a different song...




I was just discussing with [livejournal.com profile] nyclove3 how much we both hated it when authors mentioned "sexy times" in the summary and then don't deliver. WE WANT THE PORN. I'm in my late 20s now, I can admit to being a perv.

*nods* Cunt is either perfect of wrong. Personally, an occasional 'pussy' works for me. It's gonna be a while until I can read/hear the word "quim" without hearing it in Loki's voice (opposite of sexy) and vagina is TOTALLY unsexy.

Lana Del Rey is fantastic. And has great music videos.

I think I like cunt (if used well), because it's a hard, sharp word that can have dramatic sound, and it's something that you can re-purpose and own. From men it's pretty universally bad, but for women you can, if you make the effort, re-purpose "cunt." In context. But only if you're female. I don't take that shit from male humans.

OTOH, I don't think I can ever repurpose "pussy" into something sexy, to me. There's an inherent weakness to the word at its base metaphor. Pussy will always mean a infantile animal plaything that exists for someone's amusement... or a weaker person who is easily dismissed by others.

Totally agreed about cunt. Pussy, for me, has a playfulness that can really work nicely in some fics, but I can totally see where you're coming from.
