Kate Bishop & Clint Barton's Extraordinary Exes

I want to read a fic that all about Kate Bishop saving the world and fighting crime with some of Clint's fierce exes - Natasha and Bobbi, mainly - and Kate is like holyshitthey'resoawesome be cool, be competent, and is kinda star-struck be trying to be discreet about it, and the whole fic is ladies saving the world and being cooperative with each other, and Kate keeps sending Clint texts like:

01:23 a.m.: oh my god, you dated total badasses
02:07 a.m.: they're super-hot, too.
03:46 a.m. the black widow just complimented by abs!!!!!!! was that flirty or platonic!?!?!?! i couldn't tell.

And Clint is equally disturbed and aroused.

there always seems to be a new fic about how in the mcu, how great it would be if kate was phil's daughter and he's the reason she becomes a superhero and blah blah phil/clint the most annoying ubiquitous ship in the universe, blah blah dudes raising baby superheroes who apparently have no agency of their own.


Ugh, fuck that. Do they not realize that Kate Bishop is basically Batman without the complete inability to be a functional human being? Also, I do not get why Clint/Coulson is so damn popular. Like, does not compute.

It just seems like the most boring ship possible that could ever come out of a fandom and yet it is weirdly the most popular one in the entire MCU fandom. I tell myself not to get annoyed by it because I'm never gonna get it and to just move on but who are we kidding, it still annoys the piss out of me.

Long before I knew who Kate Bishop was, I kept finding this fics or come across headcanons that posited that the cellist = Clint, or that 'Kate Bishop' was the cellist who was really Clint and I am retroactively SO FUCKING ANNOYED ABOUT THAT.

Ugh. That happens with Peter Parker too, which is extra confusing because Aunt May is one of the more well known guardians in comics. (And Uncle Ben dying is a pretty famous superhero origin story, but mostly Aunt May is just a way better parent than Tony or Bruce or whoever would be.) And it seems much worse with Kate.
