So I heard about this, but I didn't picture... this.

I don't know crap about Shakespeare beyond the high school trinity of R&J, Hamlet and MacBeth, so I feel like a lot of this movie would pretty much be lost on me. At the same time...

I...don't get it. Why is it in black and white? And all..Gatsby-ish? Not complaining, just confused.

Much Ado About Nothing is one of my very favourite things of anything ever but I am... not feeling this. I wasn't feeling it when I heard about the casting, and the clips haven't convinced me either. The Shakespearean dialogue sounds unnatural and I'm not getting the spark Beatrice and Benedick should have from Acker and Denisoff. Honestly, he's past his prime attractiveness-wise but I could much more easily see Nathan Fillion as a Benedick

I didn't realise Much Ado was by Whedon! Yay. <3

I am moderately excited about this. The banter between Beatrice and Benedick sounds alright, really clever as it should. The words flashing (sex, deceit etc.) seems oddly out of place. I mean, I suppose all that is in there, but still. I'll be interested to see what mood he was aiming for with that. Another Shakespeare being re-introduced to pop culture is never a bad thing!

Not sold on the trailer but anything with:

1) Much Ado About Nothing

2) Joss Whedon

Is worth checking out. :3

I am excited by pretty much anyone doing MAAN but I am even more excited by this cast. :DD

So, I have been waiting for this for ages, but never seen the trailer. There is no way I am not watching this given that it is A) Much Ado About Nothing, and B) Joss Whedon. (The first pretty much guarantees I will watch it) and also has Nathan Fillion in it.

That said, I agree with people that the dialogue sounds a bit stilted. Although, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and blame that on the fact that it's a trailer. And hey, Reed Diamond was quite good.
