My problem with Harry/Luna is that Harry has such a desire to be normal (understandably! realistically!) and I didn't like how he was often embarrassed by Luna. Which is why I ship her more with Neville: because I think he would just roll with her weirdness.

Okay. So. I somehow never saw Thor before this week (really not sure how that happened.), but through fandom knew Sif/Loki was a ship. I'm just not sure... how this became a ship. I want to know! Tell me why you love them as a ship, what you like to see in fic with them, whatever you want.

Basically, Sif/Loki as a pairing exploded when a bunch of awesomely talented people saw it and started writing amazing fics.

I knew going into Thor that someone on my flist with good taste loved that ship, so I had my eye out for it, and the explanation at the bottom of this fic (http://archiveofourown.org/works/199562) really sums up the grounds for it in the movie.

Okay totally unrelated but I was wondering what app you use to read saved fic on your iTouch? I'm working a job for a week or two where the IT guys say they don't give out the wifi password (jerks). I've been using dropbox but it's not really built for reading (verrry small font and other issues).

I have the kindle app on my phone, and if you go to A03 when you DO have wifi, there is a download button right at the top of each fic. Hit download, and then I think mobile, and it should give you the option to read in in kindle. Let me know how that works for you.

re: Steve/Natasha/Bucky, weirdly i can enjoy every iteration of this except as a romantic ot3? like intellectually yes i'd love to see them all interact together and apart, but i've just never had it click in a romantic sense.

re: Lydia/Scott. i ship it but i think that honestly they'd never get anywhere with each other. they're both pretty great people but not in a way, i think, that appeals to the other? that's why i enjoyed their out of the blue makeout in season 1 so much. it was so teenage and fleeting and meant basically nothing to either of them.

My only problem with Neville/Luna is that I see them going in different directions in life; Neville would end up being the awesometastic Herbology teacher at Hogwarts, being a BAMF and standing up for kids who are picked on or who just fall behind a little. He'd be the type of teacher you could go to if you need help even in another subject, because he's been there and remembers his awkward years enough to empathize.

And Luna would travel the world, discovering the amazing and wonderful creatures that go undiscovered because everyone thinks Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them covers everything. My headcanon has her hooking up with a muggle cryptozoologist while in the amazon and they work together to find things, debating over each new find's magical levels to decide who gets to claim this one.

Though this totally allows for them to have hooked up at Hogwarts; a wartime romance is perfectly reasonable.
