Except this, which is another example of why it literally makes me see red when I hear girls say they aren't feminists. Like, what, you want to to be paid 3/4 or less of what a man is for the same amount of work while simultaneously spitting on everything you mother did to get you where you are now? Get the hell out of my gender. (And yes, I DO understand some of the stereotypes that are attached to the word 'feminist' but what it actually means is that you think men and women are equal, and disassociating yourself from that is a HUGE step backward, imho.)

On a happier note, check out the translation of the book Rue drops in episode 5 of Princess Tutu. (Translation is in the comments.) Now, I wibble a lot over Rue, but this just makes me wibble harder.

Also, this is totally a Fakir song:

So, fantastic, fantastic news: Guantánamo Bay is being shut down and President Obama (HELL YEAH!) is banning torture.

The wrathful news:

CNN showed one woman's reaction and it made me see red. I was this blonde bitch and she was going on about how these detainees shouldn't be allowed in America to have the "same rights our soldiers fought and died for." That there was something wrong with that. That our rights, the rights that allow me to be pled the fifth and require that I have a lawyer if I'm ever tried for a crime and demand that my guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt - those rights? People the CIA doesn't like don't deserve those rights.

I heard that and literally felt sick with rage.

I am not even going to go into the part where most of these people were imprisoned on suspicion (aka, we have no proof they did anything wrong).

I'm just going to say this:

UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS ARE UNIVERSAL. THAT MEANS THAT EVERYONE, EVERYONE, EVEN THE MOST UNEQUIVOCALLY GUILTY PERSON ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH GETS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

EVERY.

GODDAMN.

ONE.

Secret 121.

Also, I'm so annoyed that for some reason my internet won't load the first Soul Eater secret, even though I have the feeling that I'm not going to agree with it at all.
