redbrunja: (Bright Lights Fade)

I'm trying to remember a poem - it was either written by Sylvia Plath or about Sylvia Plath and the imagery was about these two women poets who where flirting with a guy in a bar, and talking about how they both wanted in (the boy = death) and one of the last lines was the narrator of the poem going, "but you took him home."

Ringing any bells?

So (technically yesterday) I went to go see Inkheart with [livejournal.com profile] mzminola and her brother.

Well worth seeing on a big screen, if only for the scenery.

I ended the movie really wanting to read the book, which I kinda think a good adaption does.

Okay, so I'm doing [livejournal.com profile] avatar_contest because I want to get back into the habit of writing for Avatar and honestly, I'm sorry I broke up with that show the way I did.

The last couple of prompts have both reminded me of Azula and you know, the more time goes by the more I realize I am really, really disappointed in how her arc turned out. Even thought I know that she was going crazy because of Mai and Ty Lee betraying her, it still read a lot like another women losing her sanity when when she got power.
