Wait, They Don't Love You Like I Love You
Oh, Naruto, do you know how lame it sounds to have a flashback and then repeat exactly what the flashback just said? Because... it's super lame.
...and now we have more Naruto-pegging.... *can't think of a way to make it more pervy than it is*

Oh, so now love is to blame for war? Get pegged, Pain. How about whiny little brats who don't have enough inner strength to stop the cycle? How about them? Stop blaming other people for the fact that YOU'RE acting like the ninjas who killed your parents. YOU.
Also, whoever on my flist called Nagato's parents being Konoha ninjas... you called it.
Hinata's latest crowning movement of awesome is awesome.
Thoughts: I kinda hope Hinata is dead, because if not, this could lead to a Hinata/Naruto ending, which while awesome for Hinata (and I want her to get everything she wants), would also probably mean a Sasuke/Sakura ending, which would suck.
You know, this is when I wish SO HARD that Kishimoto had let Sakura learn the jutsu to calm the Nine-Tails. Although maybe we'll have a repeat of her running towards him, and maybe this time we'll get a successful beauty tames the best?

Yep... Pain pegged Naruto in the ass. TWICE. That's how you make it even pervier.
And that's the beauty of Pain's psychosis... or the utter suckability of Kishimoto's writing. I'm not sure which it is right now. Pain is either so deliciously twisted that he doesn't SEE the hypocracy to some of what he says... or Kishimoto is trying for a level of grandiose that he's not at ALL capable of with this character. Personally, I like the idea of Kishimoto fucking with our heads and pretending to be a bad writer when in fact he's genius, if only because I adore the characterization of Pain as going, "they did this to me, so I'm doing this to them... but it's not revenge. It's justice." *giggles* Sociopaths are so delicious!
I was on KakaSaku forum not too long ago and ronsmyhero had a really good point regarding SasuSaku and how it will NOT happen, even if Hinata doesn't die: It won't happen at all because of the way Sasuke turned his back on EVERYONE. And that fact will be nailed home permanently the minute he kills anyone from Konoha. Sakura may say she loves him and all that... but I doubt very much she loves him to the point where she'd let him harm the village or forgive him for turning his back on them like that. The one panel where she says "We'll get stronger together"? I don't think she meant they'll get stronger in order to bring Sasuke home. What I think is that was her saying, "He doesn't want our help? Fine... we'll get strong together, without him. We still have EACH OTHER." So... yeah. That's my take on it.
But Hinata... THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING LAME LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! Especially Shikamaru's dad. Maybe that'll finally make the freakin ninja of Konoha wake up and go, "Hmmm... we've got the numbers on him. We can so own his ass!" I mean, really. It makes SENSE to rush Pain en masse. First of all, it uses up chakra to maintain his paths. The more he has to use his techniques, the more chakra he has to use. Second... he's one freakin man against HOW many ninja? Time to show that team work you spent all of the first freakin' half talking about, Kishimoto!

Except for the fact that Sasuke gets away with MURDER in this manga. He has so consistently dodged all consequences that I almost can't picture facing any, especially ones that involve Sakura turning her back on him - we know how Kishimoto writes women in love, after all.

Mmm... good point about the lack of consequence and the, ah... VERY realistic way Kishimoto portrays a woman in love. Yeah. Sarcasm first thing in the morning is like a nice cup of coffee. And I know people have said that they'll accept SasSaku if she lays the bastard out on his back, but honestly? I don't think I would. First of all, Sasuke's still so much of an arrogant dick that being smacked down by a girl wouldn't matter much to him. He'd probably chalk it up to a lucky shot or something. Now, if she gets in a SECOND hit, THEN maybe he'll take notice and be like, "Huh... well, damn."
But regardless of whether she beats the shit out of him like he deserves, I'll be pissed if it DOES become canon. Because, once again, Sasuke suffers no consequences. He turns his back on his friends, goes emo--er, I mean evil--, becomes Madara's freakin' pawn and wants to see everyone he knew and grew up with dead. If he comes back from all that and Sakura ends up with him... I'll want a refund on the portion of my life I wasted reading this shit. And then I'll console myself by writing fanfic where Sakura realizes what a douche Sasuke is and hooks up with Kakashi/Sai/Yamato/all three at once instead.

I used to think both Sakura and Naruto would be important to Sasuke's eventual redemption because they both love/d him in different ways. I don't think so anymore.
I think Sasuke's going to be the one they couldn't save - from himself. He's just failed with Killer Bee and I think he'll do anything to save his own ass, even kidnapping his old friends and turning Naruto over to Madara (assuing Naruto manages to defeat Pain or at least cause it to retreat).
That being the case, there's no way Sakura could continue to love Sasuke if he dares to harm Naruto or anyone/thing else she cares about. I'm not sure about NaruSaku as a romantic pairing but those two are beautiful BFFs and she would kill or die to protect him, even if it's against the other boy she loved.

But as friends... they're fantastic. I like the idea very much of Team Kakashi being Naruto's family. It's something he's sort of needed/wanted, and to me it's ruining that by putting him with Sakura. Sure, as a first crush it's fine... but in canon? The family dynamic loses its touchingness.
I think Hinata said that she was being selfish because she was stepping in for HER personal reasons rather than village reasons. She was fighting because she loved naruto, not because Pain just destroyed her home.

be like dating your sistercheapen it.That said (and this is something I come back to over and over again) I do not think that canon Naruto/Sakura would be as bad as Sasuke/Sakura, ESPECIALLY since I think the romantic resolution would happen at the very, very end, not giving Kishimoto time to screw it up.
