For this meme, pick a fictional character and any fandom (excluding the fandom the first fictional character hails from) and I will tell you who is that fictional character's favorite character from that fandom.

For example, if I was giving Sumire (Tramps Like Us) and Naruto, I would go:

"Hmmm, Sumire's favorite character is Temari, 'cause Temari is badass and doesn't suffer fools, and she'd ship Temari/Shikamaru even though she kinda thinks that Shikamaru would end up breaking Temari's heart by getting together with Ino, 'cause Temari is stronger than Shikamaru and men don't like that."

This article made me remember why I love urban Fantasy so much. (Also, don't read the comments - the first two made me want to shank somebody. After that, however, someone with an actual brain commented.)

I've read Saintcrow before - the first book in her Dante Valentine series, and while I didn't continue to read the sequels (t( spoilers )

However, seeing Saintcrow nail some of the classic problems of UF, I'm tempted to give that series another try.)

Which is to say, short version, this chick walks that walk and isn't merely talking that talk.

Frankly, this article combined with talking with nimblnymph  is making me excited about writing my (good) vampire story.

Well, That Got Me Out Of A Few Years Of Purgatory

Dear Santa,

I have been VERY GOOD* this past year.

In fact, just today I spent hours and hours driving my neighbor's son down to random exit of Highway 3 (had to backtrack twice, son was very little help with directions, I think he was half asleep most of the way) to pick up neighbor's OTHER son, because unlike EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD ON MY GOD PEOPLE IT'S NOT THAT HARD I am unafraid of driving in the snow and know how to drive stick.

Wasn't that just angelic of me?

That was so good, in fact, that I think I deserve a little something special from the North Pole this year. Like, say, Hatake Kakashi naked and tied up with string under my tree. Or Hakkai, naked and reorganizing my room. Or Jack Hodgins, naked, sipping spiked eggnog, and fulfilling all my materialistic desires.

Don't worry boys, I know it's a wee bit nippy these days, but I will take it upon myself to warm you up throughly.
