Atheist Love Song

Help, I’m trying to find a song. I believe it’s a fairly new release, I heard it on 107.7 The End (but didn’t check their website in time to get the artist or title), and the only thing I can really remember is that there were some lyrics that made me go ‘wow, those are some really atheist lyrics.’

Anyone have any ideas?

Also, tumblr keeps telling me that there is a music video where it looks like Nicki Minaj goes down on a girl. Anyone know what music video that is?

Still Bitter About Old Narrative Choices, Or On Irresponsible Storytelling

I don’t believe that authors have to (or should) make all characters morally upstanding or have them make choices I agree with all the time, but sometimes, I feel like shows have a responsibility about the stories they tell, even if I’m not comfortable with putting that responsibility on them.

Basically, I don’t like it when shows support ideological beliefs that I see as actively damaging and prevalent in the culture at large.

I was thinking about this in the context of Spike’s attempted rape of Buffy and the end of Lane’s arc on Gilmore Girls.

Gravity Plays Favorites

There was a required family dinner (involving extended family) this evening, and it totally sucked. There wasn't, like, ~family drama~ or anything like that, it was just completely took my entire evening and afternoon, there weren't any conversations that I enjoyed, and I wasn't able to escape into a corner and read. Plus, I was just feeling generally shitty, which didn't help.
