Reason 2,375 Why My Mom Is EFFING AWESOME

I sent her the link to that wonder woman vid, and after informing me that she wanted to watch all the wonder woman things, this conversation ensued:

Red's mom: is this [source material] where people think Superman and Wonder Woman have a thing?
Me: There are a couple comics where they're together.
Red's mom [immediately]: What about Lois?
Me: I dunno, everyone kind of hates [that pairing (Wonder Woman/Superman)].
Red's mom: Why would they have Wonder Woman date Superman when Batman's there?
Me: Whoa, what did Wonder Woman do to deserve that?
Red's mom: ....and she can lasso him with the lasso of truth and make him realize that some things just need to die.

I wasn't going to go into how Batman is already dating someone who ties him up (don't even try to tell me Bruce doesn't have restraints in his bedside table, I don't believe it) and I was laughing too hard to go into the fact that Catwoman hasn't done anything to deserve Bruce either but trust me, those thoughts were thought.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

So, the stealth darkhorse thing that I didn't expect to be enjoying is Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which I just find REALLY entertaining.

It's a solid comedy and I'm such a fan of police procedurals that I really feel like I kinda get the in-jokes. (Also, there is comedy gold waiting when the show decides to mock will they/won't they pairings with Santiago and the main dude whose name I can't remember.)

I like that pretty much every person is a source for comedy in different ways, and that the vast majority of the time it isn't mean spirited comedy.

I just finished watching the ME episode (I have watched the aired episodes totally out of order) and I dig how the comedy of the entire episode is basically what a dick the main character is. You won't believe it - the main character is a talented dick and everyone treats him like a talented dick! (And considering he and Santiago are neck-and-neck, he's clearly not a genius on a different level than everyone else.)

Also! This show totally passes the Bechdel test.

Also, I may be shipping Diaz/Boyle which I am fairly sure I am not okay with.
