First of all, stainofmylove is hosting an all-fandom comment meme, and it needs writers (also some more prompts would be cool, but there are some excellent prompts there yet sadly not many ficlets!) I'm sure you can guess what's on my to-do list for Sunday. Besides laundry, making signs for a garage sale, and call various friends and family members.

This article about 25 Things Chef's Won't Tell You mainly told me things I already know (I've worked in a lot of restaurants over the years). One thing, however, annoyed me, which is this article's attitude about servers. Now, I don't know what the chefs said, but speaking as someone who worked in the kitchen and is now waiting tables, the idea that waiters get to take home all this cash tax-free is bullshit. Tips have been taxed since the Regan administration and those tips? Are basically a server's salary. On average, about two-thirds of what I make waitressing is from tips, and my tips depend on a.) how busy it is, b.) how much and of what the customers eat c.) how generous the customer is and c.) how well I serve them. (FYI, living a small tip when you got bad service is completely kosher. Leaving a bad tip because you're old and think that 10% is reasonable is cheap, and leaving a 10% tip because there was one waitress and she had to serve the whole entire restaurant during a rush by herself is bitchy.)

On other note, I actually agree with recycling uneaten bread, because of the few things I don't like about working in a restaurant is the amount of food waste that goes one.

Leverage's finale was ridiculously underwhelming. Like, it would have made for a subpar episode in the middle of the season but it's almost laughable how inept it was as the last episode viewers get for the next six months or whatever.

For this meme, I went with Logan and Veronica's first kiss. There is so much to love about this kiss. Day 07 - The most heartbreaking scene?

Soul lets Maka drop and then talks about how Blair would be a better mistress in the pilot of Soul Eater (skip to 16:03). Also, this is the whole episode, so if haven't watched this show yet, here is a great way to start):

I was already shipping them from the opening credits and this rejection was brutal, tying, as it did, into all Maka's insecurities about her body and her beliefs about men based on her issues with her father. It's like the triple-punch of heartbreak.

This was one of those formative ships for me. Bad boy adventurer + BAMF lady. It's been a while since I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I remember her doing things like: owning a bar, drinking a nazi under the table, shoving a pie(?) into some guys face during a riot at the bazaar, and running around a tomb in a white dress with a torch. Oh, and totally not taking any of Indy's shit. 

Seriously, I have much affection for the fourth movie (which is not good) almost solely because it shows that Marianne was totally the girl for Indiana Jones and gets them hitched.
