Dear Yuletide Author,

First of all, let me sincerely say that I requested fandoms and characters I absolutely love, so please do not feel at all wedded to my insane optional details. Ignore them all entirely, pick and choose what works for you, optional details are optional.

If you're looking for more insight into general tropes that I like, check out my tag of bulletproof kinks. (Short list: banter, sex against walls, competency, characters respecting each other, tragic backstories, biting/love marks.)

Things I do not like: noncon, ladies needed to be saved, ladies being treated disrespectfully by the narrative, bleak and hopeless endings.

I started it again this morning and in pretty much one go read right up to where

At which point I had to set the book to one side partially just because and partially because my bus stop was coming up.

Inside, my reaction was:

To be honest, I am curious to see if I actually do end up literally crying at this book.

(Sidenote: a friend and I were talking about books/comic that we don't want to see adapted - I do. not. want. to see Code Name Verity turned into a movie. There isn't a chance in hell they could do it justice.)

And finally, PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL ME IN THE COMMENTS. I'M ONLY AT PAGE 60 BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT WHEN I FINISH I WILL BE PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO STOP MYSELF FROM WRITING A POST ABOUT IT.
